Join Port Credit BIA for a special historic walking tour on Remembrance Day at 12:00 p.m.

Remembrance Day Historic Walking Tour

Historian Richard Collins will explore the homes of some of the men and women from Port Credit who served during two world wars, and hear stories of the village’s early settlers who defended Canada during the War of 1812.

The tour will take place after the Remembrance Ceremony at the Vimy Park Cenotaph and march to the Port Credit Legion at approximately noon.

Meet at the Port Credit Legion (35 Front St North) at 12:00 p.m.

Tours are FREE but we encourage you to tip your tour guide.

Remembrance Day Ceremony details:

9:00 am Parade Participants Gather in the Legion Club Room.
Location: Branch #82 Royal Canadian Legion, 35 Front Street N, Mississauga ON. L5H 2E1
9:15 am Parade Forms Up on Front Street N.
9:30 am Parade Marches Off to the Church.
9:45 am Church Service.
Location: St. Andrew’s Memorial Presbyterian Church, 24 Stavebank Rd, Mississauga, ON L5G 2T5
10:45 am Cenotaph Service
Location: Vimy Park Cenotaph, Stavebank Rd. Mississauga (Port Credit)
After the Cenotaph Service the Parade will march back to Branch #82 Royal Canadian Legion
11:50 am (Approximately) Parade Will Be Dismissed.at the Legion Parade Participants are cordially invited to the 2nd floor banquet room for a light luncheon and refreshments.
12:00 p.m. Historic Walking Tour begins
