Vice-Chair

Ann Ivy Male

As newly appointed Vice-Chair for the Port Credit BIA, I would like to express how fortunate I feel to call this beautiful area home for the past 17 years, and have the opportunity to work alongside this energetic group of individuals.

As I enter my third year volunteering time on the Board, it has been a tremendous challenge navigating around a pandemic, especially where our Mainstreet businesses have had to constantly adapt their operations. However as a local entrepreneur, this experience has encouraged me to work diligently with the team to support the vibrancy of our urban village.

In this new role, I will continue to participate in BIA initiatives, follow through with transparency, adhere to policy and procedure and make thoughtful decisions that will benefit our small business members and community.

As part of the Marketing Committee, we host monthly meetings to plan and strategize campaigns, social media, and improve business awareness.

Port Credit has now been designated one of Mississauga's cultural hubs, therefore my focus will also be centred around encouraging more arts and culture initiatives - making Port Credit a dynamic tourist destination.
