I have officially been a Member of the Board since I was sworn into office in 2018. I joined the Board because I was born and raised in Ward 1, and I have enjoyed being actively involved, serving in the community to help make a difference. As active Board Member my responsibilities are setting and meeting goals for the BIA, reviewing the Constitution, setting budget guidelines, attending monthly meetings and actively participating on the Board as a liaison and advocate with the City and at City Hall.

Since joining the Board, I have been fortunate to be a part of several positive initiatives.  For example, I proposed and assisted, with the support of the BIA staff and members, to organize the “Classic Car Thursdays” campaign this past summer. I also helped recognize Beatrice for all of her years of service in our community through the official naming of “Queen Bea’s Lookout”.
